In keeping with the principle that we treat the mind, body and spirit, clients will be able to benefit from incorporating physical exercise into their treatment. Weekly visits to a local gymnasium are provided as this encourages clients to look after their body and live a healthier life style.
We appreciate that many who come to our centre are physically unwell due to their addictions, so we take this into account. For those that are unable to use the gymnasium, there will be gentler alternatives including regular timetabled therapeutic walks. We are not promoting fitness as such, just encouraging a healthier lifestyle. Those who are undergoing a medical detox, for health and safety reasons will not be eligible to attend the gym until their detox is completed.
At Recovery Lighthouse all of our meals are freshly prepared on site by our qualified chef and We use only the freshest of ingredients and offer good quality, tasty, and nutritious home cooking. All of our catering staff hold certificates in food hygiene and the kitchen adheres to strict health and safety regulations.
Clients will be provided with three meals a day as well with a selection of snacks and drinks. Any special dietary requirements will be met by our resident chef and overseen by our clinical team to ensure that all of our clients benefit from a varied and nutritious plan of eating.
All meals will be served in our spacious communal dining area. Here, clients can sit together and socialise whilst they eat.
